Mission & Vision

"Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few."

MATTHEW 9:37

Purpose

The purpose of this church is to bring God immense worship and glorification by
fulfilling the commandments of Jesus Christ, expressed in the New Testament.
The church will actively worship God by expressing and living out their
individual faith in Christ, by repenting of their sin, by being baptized into the
Trinity, by being transformed with the Holy Spirit, and living an obedient life
based on the commands and teachings of scripture.

Mission Statement

The mission of SOLID Christian Church is to worship and glorify God by living a
faithful and obedient life to Him.

Leadership Style

This body of believers is governed and led by the Senior Minister, who will at
times delegate responsibilities according to the needs of the body. The official
board, elders, deacons, and congregation will submit to his godly leadership and
authority.

Core Values and Goals

As expressed in scripture, Jesus Christ is the foundation and chief cornerstone of
the Church. To fulfill our mission, SOLID Christian Church is built upon these
five pillars and values:

SCRIPTURE

The Bible is the inspired, inerrant, and authoritative word of God.
Therefore, SOLID stresses the reading of God’s Word, the preaching and teaching
of God’s Word, the retention of God’s Word, and the application of righteous
actions according to God’s Word (James 1:22-25, 2 Timothy 3:16-17).

OBEDIENCE

SOLID stresses that each member of the church lives a disciplined
life according to God’s Word and the Holy Spirit; God is Holy and, therefore,
SOLID stresses the importance of holy living. Each member is educated and
equipped to bear Christlike fruit representative of genuine discipleship (Leviticus
11:44-45; 1 Samuel 15:22; John 14:15, Galatians 5:22).

LOVE

SOLID encourages its members to actively love God and humanity. This
scriptural mandate is found in two greatest commandments illuminated in both the Old and the New Testaments. In every aspect of our lives we desire to love God
with our entire being, and to love our neighbors as ourselves (Deuteronomy 6:5,
Leviticus 19:18; John 13:34-35).

IDENTITY

True identity is found in no one else but Christ Jesus. SOLID reminds
all people that God created them perfectly in His image (Image of God, IOG).
Although, humanity has fallen to sin Jesus Christ came to earth to restore God’s
image within us. Therefore, SOLID teaches that by accepting Jesus Christ, being
baptized into his death, burial and resurrection, and being transformed into
Christ’s likeness by the Holy Spirit, each individual will return to the full Image
of God and will become sanctified by His Graces (Genesis 1:26-27; Matthew
28:18-20; Romans 6:1-11; Ephesians 4:22-24).

DISCIPLESHIP

SOLID believes that true discipleship found in Jesus Christ
requires five facets. First, the disciple is called to be different than the world and
the people around them. Second, they are to obey all the commands of Jesus
Christ. Third, that they fellowship with other believers. Fourth, that they use
their spiritual gifts to help grow and strengthen the church. Finally, that true
discipleship is seen in the reproduction of other disciples (Matthew 5:1-7:20; John
14:23; Acts 2:42-47, Ephesians 4:1-16, Matthew 28:18-20).
